Inktober Day #5
Day 5. Hallelujah. Working while inktobering has proven to be a challenge BUT a very fun one. Feeling the creativity course through my veins as we speak. Today, the prompt is Maps. A group of kids camping and lost in the mountains. There’s always that ONE GUY who doesn’t help I think you can tell which one that is. The temperature has started dropping which makes me wish for snow so why not incorporate that as well. Character design is always a good time. Hey Arnold was my favorite cartoon growing up and I was really drawn to the hilarious head shapes and personalities of the characters. Big inspiration for this piece.
Inktober Day #4
Day 4. I’m already exhausted. We drew Dodge Cat today which I believe was a meme back in the day but it was the first thing I thought of when I saw dodge. I also will look for any excuse to draw a cat.
Inktober Day #3
Good morning and happy day 3 of inktober. Lack of sleep has me thinking about Alice in Wonderland…so when we can’t sleep, we sketch. Much to my surprise Alice in Wonderland fits very nicely with today's prompt, Path. Alice, as we know, goes on a journey through wonderland and in that journey she meets some characters along the way. I added my favorites along with a minimal color palette (i’m trying). I really like the combination of these and I hope you enjoy. No, I will not comment on what’s in the caterpillars pipe but he’s having a good time.
Inktober Day #2
Day 2. Spiders. The only way to get over my fear is to make it cute so here you go. I gave him a MacBook because web will always make me think of the World Wide Web. This was fun. Also, I love witches so I gave her a witch hat because why not. Stayed true to the inktober theme by using digital ink in procreate.
Inktober Day #1
Happy Inktober to you and yours! After a long hiatus of uninspired, gloomy, and sluggish moods (thank you Covid and imposter syndrome), I feel it’s time to start drawing again. YAY. I haven’t actually created anything in years so here’s hoping the muscle is still strong. I’ve discovered i’m most happy when immersing myself in creativity, and with a mountain of half finished projects staring me right in the freaking face I feel it’s time to tackle this. So, here is day one. The prompt is Dream. My head is always in the clouds and I have always found yoga very grounding. I liked the juxtaposition of these two ideas and figured pixel animation would be a good medium to bring this dreamy world to life.
